no way of knowing how long it takes to get up to temp, then do the clean.
one reason I use the TorquePro app to what the process.

You can figure on average 10 miles for a good cleaning

It may not be getting hot enough to complete the regen. Like I had mentioned earlier in the thread I had very similar symptoms, going into regen, watching for the teltale drop in instant MPG, but never seeing the regen complete as evidenced by the instant MPG jumping back up again. Then, my truck got to the point where it wouldnt even start a filter burnout, and all I would see was a continuous really, really, really poor mileage for a couple weeks leading up to my CEL, which ended up being a P249F, and led me to replace EGT12 sensor. Once I replaced that sensor, I took it for a drive, it dropped into regen immediately, and that one did complete(telltale instant MPG indicators), and my problem has been fine ever since.

It would be my opinion that you have a EGT sensor not reading right. You could get the bluetooth OBD adapter, and phone app to see those temps, but if you dont know what "normal" would be, then it may not help. The other route to take is to just replace all 4 EGT sensors for about $140 for all 4, and see what happens.

In my case, even though EGT12 set a P249F code, the dealer ran their pinpoint tests, and said there was no problem. Thats when I went and replaced the sensor on my own. It was 2 days before July 4th holiday and didnt want to be stuck at home, or worse, along the road somewhere.

I should have added that the cost of the sensors are around $35 ONLINE. You wont get the sensors from your local dealer for that price(at least not by me). What used to be Tousley ford seems to keep a lot in stock, and have the best prices.
