Well, almost got the wiring right. Ignition switch help
Tried to fire up the truck after the rewiring job, and it will start but dies when the ignition switch returns to the run position. The switch is good, but does not appear original. None of the wires coming out of it matched the colors on my diagram, either.
Anyhow, it looks like the wire from the "run" connector to the ballast (resistance wire is long gone) is incorrectly attached. Just to confirm before I dig into it tomorrow, with the key in the run position, I should have 12 volts at the resistor and about 7 or so at the coil, even if the engine is not running, right?
