What type of Engine do I have?

Hello everyone,
I just bought my first truck, 1991 F150 with a 351, V.8 Edelbrock. I am no mechanic, but I bought the truck for a semi-fixer upper / learner. At endstate, I would like to be able to taylor my services / maintenance to my engine and know the ins/outs.
Does anyone know where I need to look to determine which engine I have? After doing some research, one of the previous owners may have purchased a crate engine kit and installed it himself...
Any help would be much appreciated.

These trucks came with small block windsor family motors only.. 5.0 or 5.8. Post up a pic to confirm.

you can do a vin decode or look at door panel or emission tag to figure out what the truck came with factory. From there it may be a new motor, or else the top end done over. Probably a simple truck though, and a good one to learn with. Knowing whats factory and what isn't will help with looking up reference materials, but once you get the core concepts down you'll be fine. I learned on several project cars over the years, nothing beats hands on experience when you don't need it as a daily driver! Good luck my friend.

Your truck would have been EFI originally so it looks like the previous owner put a carb on it.

No, I'm not certain. That's what the seller said...and I believe it said the same thing when I used CARFAX. I didn't look that much into it before I bought it because it's a learn'n truck.
Do you think it's a 350?

not a 350. I'd guess 351 by distributor cap.
