I guess I now qualify to be a member of this forum as I just bought a new 2014 Screw 4X4 Lariat with the ecoboost engine. I am really excited, I get to pick it up in the morning.

Now there is much to learn, but it all fun.

Welcome F150 friend. It looks real nice. Did you consider holding out for the new body style '15s ???

Welcome! I'm a new member to the 2014 club as well. To chime in on the question I needed the tax break for my business this year, if I didn't im not sure how I would have felt. However I strongly subscribe to not being the guinie pig on new models and I didn't want to pay the extra 4k for 700lbs of weight savings.

Yes I did consider waiting for the new aluminum truck, but after the delay on delivery to the dealers and the fact that I find the front end on the 2015's less than attractive, I decided to go for the tried and proven. The $2500 rebate was also a bit of an incentive. I think I will be very happy with this this truck. By the time I get ready for my next new truck the aluminum bodied trucks will be tried and proven.

By the way, I took advantage of the black friday sale at a couple of sites on line and ordered front and rear Weather Tech floor mats, windshield sun shade and AMP power steps. I saved a couple hundred bucks on the power steps. That took about half of my rebate, but my wife will like the truck a lot better when I get the steps on it.

The upgrades are fun. I did the same thing. I was planning to buy a 2013 when they were released, but couldn't pass up the incentives on the remaining 2012s.
