I would just like to say hey to everyone on the forum. I have been lurking on here for about a month getting some really good info for my first project truck. I knew that I was bringing it home last weekend but just wanted to make sure it got home safely before becoming a member.

Great opportunity to learn more about the site

 

Well I haven't really uploaded the pics yet. I also haven't looked at the procedure for posting pics. A little backstory on the panel though. It is a 50. My wifes grandparents bought it in 1987 from someone around the neighborhood, they live near Grand Island. The person they bought it from got it in Ben Wheeler, Tx. So when the gparents got it they swapped out the flathead 6 for a later flathead v8. It was white and they painted it black for some reason but that's ok. After they got it back from being painted it never got back on the road. It is complete minus the back bumper. Lola,(wife's Gma) had a catering business that the van was eventually going to be the main transportation for but it never really materialized. Bryan(wife's Gpa) passed away in feb. of this year and they were getting the farm equipment ready for auction and as we were looking through the machine shed the panel was sitting there waiting for someone to speak up and take it home. I showed some interest in it and all I had to do for it was to work 3 days doing farm cleanup last weekend. It has been sitting since 1988 in the shed so it should be interesting
