Cloth heated seats? + more seat questions

Was there ever an option in any year SD of cloth heated seats? I assume they would be power as well if heated. I dont care for the power but want to retro the heated seats into my 91.

further, did 05+ trucks have totally new seats from the 99-04? Would you say they are comfier? I drove an 03 with clotch and those seats were comfy (compared to my 91 bench.)

more, these hav ethe shape of leather seats vs the pontier traditional cloth seats. Can i get this style, in black clotch, heated? What trim level would have this?

if that were a option there would be several burned down trucks, when you take a leather seat apart you can see burn marks from the factory seat heaters.

We had a jeep in the shop a few weeks back that had factory heated cloth seats. Strange I tell you. But I have never seen a ford with factory heated seats.

My current 05 and previous 02 XLT crew cabs both had gray cloth interiors, the cloth is much different yet the seats themselves are just about identical.

I was extremely disappointed with the decrease in comfort with the newer cloth, the 02 was much softer to the touch. I originally assumed the newer cloth was selected for durability (sacrificing comfort) but it is now wearing thin with a few holes after only 70k miles worth of getting in and out. It also seems to stain easier from coffee drips, etc.

Same here - same car - different wife!

I call BS on the burining of the car... Sure there may have been some anomally somewhere - but the foam and padding under a cloth seat cover is the same as a leather one... I think it was more of a cost saving measure from the mfgrs.
IE, people thatspend the money to buy leather will also pony up for the seat heaters.. That way they could have the seat heater installation station in only the LEATHER assembly line.

I prefer cloth seats over leather. Warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

I agree with the statement that cloth is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. However if you like having your 4 legged friend join you the hair just wipes off the leather. Leather in my opinion is also better if you have kids as slipped drinks just wipe off and muddy shoes on the seat is no problem. My current truck is the first one with heaters and I love them. LMCtrucks has a kit to install heaters for $100. Worth it in my opinion.
