Matt, you do anything with my 5.4? I'm looking for a sub 10sec X...

EDIT: Full interior, OEM running gear (like that would hold up), and OEM suspension on AT tires.

How much money you wanna spend. Cuz right off the bat I'm thinking use the existing body as a mold and make a carbon fiber replacement. The weight savings alone...

Chevelle just did 10.29 @ 128mph, comes out to 5.42hp/lb, using a borrowed 496 that my friend just finished but his vehicle isn't ready. Had to see what it could do, lol.

Honestly with an aluminum or full CF body we would drop 1/4-1/3 of the weight... I hadn't thought of the body at all... I can't even imagine the difference that would make on the X. I mean you could just drive an F-150 with the 5.4 but it wouldn't be the same.

Then no. Between motor, upgrades, fuel system, tuning, transmission and related driveline components? No way.

Thanks!

Oops, I don't think I ever said thanks for the help. Thanks for the help FTE. Less than $5 at ACE hardware, one side done so you can see the difference. Stainless this time around.

Agreed, they look way better.

Now I'm wondering if I can fit LED tipped bolts in there... hmm.

No need. I found (and still haven't done) this a few months back:
