Hard AND squishy brakes....

This isnt a new problem its been happening since i got the truck but im just getting around to fixing it. Basically when i step on the brakes they are extremely squishy. The truck stops but when its finally stopped im pretty much all the way to the floor with the pedal. Also when i have to step on the brakes quickly they get hard as a rock and i practically have to stand on them to get the truck to stop. The truck has brand new components all the way around as well as new brake lines. It also has a new master cylinder. So basically i need the next step. I was going to replace the booster but i wanted to get some opinions first. Should i just do the booster and see if that works or should i start with something else? The only other things i can think would affect this are the vacuum pump or maybe just the vacuum hoses need to be replaced. Any ideas are appreciated.

The pedal to the floor means a leak, a bad master cylinder, or air in the lines. Since you've replaced all those parts try bleeding again. If that doesn't work, you might have to return that MC.

The hard pedal is a bad booster, bad vacuum pump, or a leak in the vacuum lines.

Thanks you. ill start with the hard brakes first since that the only thing that scares the crap outta me lol. nothing like getting cut off and hitting the brakes only for them to be hard as a rock

Haaaa, I know that's right:

I'm wet, cold, and $150+ dollars poorer, (taxes and new belt too), but I can stop.
