360 vs 390 cylinder heads

Have a 1973 FE390 with worn out cylinder head valves with good oil pressure and a 1976 FE360 with fairly good cylinder head valves.

Are the cylinder heads on both engines identical?

Can the FE360 heads be bolted up to the FE390?

'73 and '76 should be "D2.." heads, all the same.

Only if you have a C--- casting number would they possibly be different.

As OEM in pickups, year by year, the 360 and 390 are identical save for the crank, rods and pistons. And some 390s got 4bbl carbs.

D2TE-AA heads were used from 72-up in all trucks, 360, 390, didn't matter.

C8AE-H heads are identical to D2 heads, except the D2 heads had induction hardened exhaust seats. After 100K+ miles of exhaust valves slapping them, and all the heat/cool/heat cycles, that hardening is completely gone anyway.

C7AE-A heads are the same as C8/D2, except the combustion chambers are slightly different, but the same size.

That's all I have personal information for

Check the casting numbers on the heads. They should both be D2TE-AA heads if they were never replaced.
