C6 transmission
so in my 67 ford its got a 4inch body lift. well the guy b4 me didnt wants to add 4inchs to the shift linkage going from the streering column to this one bracket. so he just punched a small hole in the floor and added a rod like shifter. well anyways i hooked up the column shifter. but now when i want to shift it into park i have to put it in drive then into park. i cant go from reverse to park or nuetral to park but i can go 1st gear to park 2nd gear to park and drive to park. but any ways here is the kicker to get it in to reverse b4 the seat was kinda in the way so the guy would have to slam it into reverse and park. so thats where i think the problem comes from. i no its not the linkage either cause it does it on the gear selector coming off the tranny. what do u guys think bent shift fork Maybe?

ya i pretty much redid everything that the old guy did. he never wanted to buy the right parts of anything. he just tried doing stuff as cheap as he could. i put the original grill back in it put a different wiring hasness thats wasnt all hacked up in it. the other guy had a big mess of wires. put a new rearmain in and since i did that i put a new oil pump on and oil pan. i put new floors in and reinsulated the roof the floor and the door panels. put the reflectors back on in on the box. put mirrors on. put the original radio back in it put a new autolight 2100 carb on redid the fuel line. the old guy had like 3 different sizes of line. there prolly more stuff then that ive did but cant remeber.
