F350 Diesel Automatic

I had the engine bullet proofed and new valves installed in March. Is it normal for diesels to blow white smoke. I don't drive it very much, and was wondering if maybe its from sitting up or not driving it much. This is my first diesel, so I don't know much about them.

white smoke is usually from water/coolant, blue smoke is oil, black smoke is fuel (diesel and gas engines)

check coolant level.....also check to see if you have bubbles in the coolant system.

on a cold morning, you may have 'white smoke' as it dissipates the moisture from the exhaust/muffler....drive it till warm and see if you still have white smoke

Yes, if the white 'smoke' from the exhaust is constant then it is probably a coolant issue, bad head gasket or possibly a leak from the egr cooler.
