Advice please!! single mass flywheel pulling issues

So I have 2 powerstrokes with manual transmissions a 03 6.0 with a zf6 and a 95 with a zf5 both have been converted from the dmf to the single. I have used both of them for pulling for quite some time but recently I've been pulling some really heavy loads and the problem I'm having is taking off with a load. When I try to take off the trucks bounce and jerk really bad and can smell clutch burning even worse in reverse. I've tried to take off different like riding the clutch a little but just burns it worse. I know the trucks aren't rated to pull even close to what I've been pulling but I know a lot of guys who do it all the time with no problem I don't see why a dodge with a bad automatic should be able to pull more than a manual powerstroke. Been pulling 24 to 28k about 50 mile trips. Could it be the single mass flywheel any input would be appreciated.
