Recently purchased a low mile CPO 2014 edge SEL for the wife.

While it has the bulk of its factory 3/36 warranty, and another 12/12k CPO warranty on top of that...I was offered at the time (literally as signing the paperwork) a number of additional warranty upgrades.

As someone who regularly combats Timeshare scammers, I know full well its a terrible idea to buy something "add on" at the time of purchase without the time to research it or read the details completely...and since the sales manager didnt have any information to show me other than the breakdown price chart...I declined these add ons.

I figured it would be easy to find this information on the ford website, but was clearly mistaken.

before I contact the dealer and ask for this info, I was curious if anyone had opted for any similar warranty upgrades and could provide their input on the value of the purchase?

I typically don't bother with an extended warranty on cars...Trucks yes.

 

yea, I finally got the dealer to email me a brochure...its called ford premium care.

was just looking for any real world experience with it...some of hte options dont seem that bad on paper for extending the warranty out past the factory and certified bumper to bumper one.
