E4od problems

I have a 93 f250 with the 7.3.

I just replaced my solenoid pack on it and I am having the same problems as before but different; before I ONLY had D: 4th, 1st or 2nd:2nd gear. Now I have all 4 gears... 80% of the time...
When I start out in d, I get a great first, then it slams into 4th. then it will go In to 2nd., then it will try slam into 4th and then go to 3rd then 4th then 3rd and back into 4th., and it slams hard each time.. this is with out using my lead foot. After about 20 miles it goes back to only having 4th and 2nd gear. Help?!?

try changing relays.

see the ones labeled "fuel pump relay" and "pcm power relay" in the pic?
swap those with each other.

Obviously there's no fuel pump relay; thus my question. What's the likelihood of finding a relay in that socket in a diesel truck?

Remember that the converter will not lock until fluid temp is above 70degrees so test drives on warm tranny only.
