2004 F150 - Code P2106 and ABS Light
Hi Guys,
I have the following problems my truck (2004 F150 Lariat 4x4); throwing the code P2106 -Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power and going into engine fail safe mode in addition to the ABS light being illuminated. I have cleaned the TB with no effect in addition to replacing the TB with a known working TB and still have the same issue. I have tried resetting the trouble code (ABS light stays on) but once the truck reaches 65 kms/hr it returns and enters engine fail safe mode (regardless of actual throttle pedal position – I have tired coasting down hills and accelerating up hills). My question is has anyone uncounted the P2106 error code and it NOT been the throttle body? Is the throttle body system related in any way to the ABS system (i.e. utilized the same rear speed sensor perhaps?) The mechanics at ford are convinced it is electrical at this point but want to charge be $170/hr to find my problem..
Thanks for any help!
