LMC Seatbelts. Help.

Hey all,

SO my truck was missing its center seatbelts so I figured I'd just get new ones at LMC. The first 2 pics are my stock belts, the last one is what LMC gave me. What gives? How do I use that?

The front center belts on my '78 SCab don't have retractors.
The center latch side is a short belt and shares the mounting with the driver latch. The other side is considerably longer, shares it's mounting with the passenger latch and is adjustable.

Looks like you received a wrong part.

Looks that way. I have no idea what these belts are for, they don't look like they'd fit any dentside. Now the question is, where do I get the belts?

I've never really found a good source of aftermarket belts. Your best bet is to keep an eye on e-bay or check the JY.

Can I ask why you didn't get the regular lap belt for the middle? It looks like you got the retractable lap belt used in early dents for driver/passenger.

Actually I did. My problem was that I only had the outer belts and needed all the inner, 2 females and then a complete set for the middle. So I thought screw it and just bought everything. LMC lists them as 73-79. Now I'll have too keep what I got (in black) and return what I bought for the middle, (in brown) and buy them again in black. I just hope they'll latch to my old male ends.

I see. The LMC ad show that an L bracket comes with outer belt. Did you get those?

Get a plain NONE retractable seat belt. One above what you ordered I do believe?

Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

Other wise JY time....oops sorry, just read "Mons Belgium" as your location, probably not a lot of old 73-79 Ford there huh?

What about any other truck with a center bench seat and fixed center seat belt?

Needed to update my profile, Uncle Sam has finally let me come back - we're in VA now just south of DC. I guess I could get a non retractable, be a little weird though. And yes, there is the L bracket but it think that would look a little odd. And is it safe? L braket to floor, belt to L bracket just doesn't seem cool. And there's not a lot of scrap yards here for some reason. It may be Ebay or live w/ my old belts and get new center belts to use with the old ones.

Welcome back stateside, I am trying to locate a great web site for seat belts.....

How could it be weird? You must not of ever spent any time in the middle seat position, or have ever owned a vehicle with non retractable/fixed length seat belts.

You just pull the slack out, with the tail, its tight and stays that way.

PM sent.

The original center belt in my '78 is non retractable. Nothing too weird about it.
