4R55E trouble

hello all,
I have a 1995 ranger 4.0 automatic with the 4r55e and I have some major transmission issues. The o/d light flashes constantly, when in reverse the truck does not move and all and then in any other gear it pulls forward. Even neutral. I know that it has at least 3 forward gears and they seem to work fine. Even when the truck is in reverse and won't pull forward you can not get it to roll backwards if the engine is running. I did some research online and found all the common issues to look for. I pulled the valve body out and ohm tested all the solenoids. I found that the TCC and EPC both had less than 7 ohms of resistance. The spec i saw said that they should be between 20-30 ohms as all the other solenoids were. I can't see any other obvious issues with the transmission, the fluid was fairly clean with little metal in the pan. the band appears to be in one piece still.

any input would be appreciated!

Welcome to FTE.
Make sure that the TRS switch on the side of the tranny is properly aligned, the fastners are tight & the wiring & electrical connector & its pins/sockets are ok, or the computer could get confused about which gear its supposed to be in. Have you replaced the suspect solenoids yet???? Be sure to ohm the new ones before use.
