E-brake red light - where is it? F-250

Keep talking....
It has had the recall for the brake/cruise control done on it. The fluid level is good. Are you talking a different switch?
Edited to add: You had my curiosity up...I just cycled the key about 10 times and 2 of those times it lit just as you said, the other times it didn't. Something's intermittent...

Now I'm confused...easy to do...this seems to say that the light will be lit no matter what the condition of the two switches are, open or closed, but the light does not go dark if either switch is activated. I have the opposite condition, the light is not lit during the key on warning system. But I may be reading this wrong...
Thanks subford for your patience....

Per that schematic from subford, the warning light receives +12V on one side. The other side goes on to the brake fluid level switch, after which it then splits to the ignition switch and RABS module.
So with +12V applied to one side of the bulb, the brake fluid level switch will light the bulb when closed. It will also pull down (ground) the signal circuit going to the RABS module.
The ignition switch being in the START position, and parking brake switch being closed (brake applied) accomplish the same function as well.
So, if you say it works intermittently when you turn the key to START, then you probably have a flaky ground contact in the ignition switch.

That parking brake switch is the cheapest of the cheap switches I've ever seen. Bet if you take a look at it, the (fully exposed) contact on the plunger has dust and crap built up in it.

The other lights, ABS, etc all seem to light consistently with the key on. Does the e-brake circuit have its own contact within the ignition switch?
