Door Panel Vibration

I've got a 2012 F250 SD and when i go over some bumps in the road or even down a gravel road, the door panel on the driver side vibrates and it's noisy. Is there any way to pull the panel and add some foam padding or something to help stop this? Wasn't for sure if anybody else has ever had this problem. I can see the panel vibrate or heck, maybe it the whole door.

Thank you for your help...

The door panel is easy to pull - just 4 bolts and a lift up. I tried a little on my passenger side while I had it off and it seemed to help.

Mine too I took it off today and it just seems once the door panel is off and I look under the plastic I bang on it and it just seems tinny and makes the same noise as it does if I go over bumps. I thought I could tighten somethine up and make it stop. IDK what to do to make it stop. and BTW they could have used a inch more wire on the window and mirror conections and it would have been alot easier to unhook and hook the wires back up.

one thing to try is to wrap electrical tape around the door latch post so when the door is latched theres no space for it to rattle.. just something to try that is easily taken off if it doesn't fix. i had a similar issue that was resolved by first doing the tape thing then taking it to my dealer and they replaced the latch once i narrowed down the problem.

My passenger does the same thing occasionally, but doesn't drive me crazy enough (yet!) for me to tear it apart. Let us know if you find a fix!

Mine was doing the same thing. Both the dealer and I could not figure it out, but it sounded like it was coming from behind the door panel. Then I noticed I could duplicate the noise when I open and closed the door. I found that the bolts holding the door on the posts were loose, so I snugged them up and good to go. Weird how it sounded like it was coming from behind the door panel, but it worked. Something to check anyways. Good luck. I've had mine truck for 6 months now and I'm still chasing weird rattles and noises in the cab.

My 2013 does the same thing. Thanks for the tip on a quick repair. Previously, I've hit the volume up arrow on the wheel until the door noise goes away.

Also a fair bit of wind noise from the lower weatherstrip on the door opening. Fixed this on my previous 99 F350 by adding adhesive between the weatherstrip and the door frame.

I had the same problem in the front passenger door with my last truck. I finally took the tech. out for a test ride with me and told him to hold his knee against the door panel just ahead of the door handle. The rattle would disappear and then come back when he moved his knee. He took the door panel off, tried to glue the seam, put it back on and away we went again. Same results, the minute he took his knee off the door, the rattle was back. Went back to the dealership and he ordered a new door skin. Problem solved, no more rattle. It appears that when they put the panel together at the factory it had a defect in it that caused the rattle. It never came back for the rest of the time I had the truck.
