I have an 03 f350 7.3L with 170,000 miles on it.
I have been having a problem with it starting in the mornings and after sitting most of the day.

When I go to start it it cranks the lights go dimness and takes awhile to start. I haven't had a no start yet.
With in the past 3 months I have put a new alternator and batteries.
The batteries are showing 12+ volts sitting and when running show 14.1 on the torque pro app on my phone.

It just started showing a code of P1670 and the ABS light is now on..

I haven't had any issues with the truck dying or anything like that and this problem has just started a few days ago.

Please help as I can't afford to just throw money at the truck to replace parts not needed.

unplug the IPS on the passenger valve cover and see if it starts next time.

 

What's an iPS?

 

Can you define the problem a little better? Is it cranking slowly, or cranking normally? Does it crank differently when it's warm than when cold?
