Anybody run 16.5" wheels on their Ex?

Now that my mechanical bugs are worked out (until the new ones start) I'm starting to have some fun with my Ex. My 4" zone off-road lift is getting installed Monday. I have 305/45/22 that I've been running... When I wasn't doing much with it... And the factory 265/75/16. Since I have a newfound appreciation for off roading... I want to change up to something more useful for such. I thought 16.5 wheels with some military tires would be cool and not too expensive. 350$ for a set of wheels, 150$ a pop for 37" tires.

325/50/22s are about 600$ a piece the cheapest place I could find them.

315/75/16 are about 400$ a piece.

I'm considering treadwright too... Just curious what everyone's thoughts were.

Anybody have any other recommendations?

I don't have a set...yet!

16.5" rims are perfect for running military tires, but they make finding "normal" tires somewhat hard to accomplish

btw, check out Firestone tires. I'm running 315/75/16 Firestone Destination M/T's and they cost me under $1200 out the door. And that was after shipping to Hawaii and getting a Puncture Warranty.

I've had these tires before and they were awesome.

I paid under $1000 for tires mounted and balanced just last fall. 315/75r16s.. Wheels where $115 each for 16x10s.......

IMO the military tires are not they are cracked up to be. They might be cheap, but they leave something to be desired in the off road.
