Installing Ford OEM remote start

I want to get a remote start for my wife and prefer the oem one from ford. There is a ford dealer on ebay selling a kit, but its not one of the plug and play kits. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Escape-Focus-C-Max-Transit-Connect-OEM-Genuine-Ford-Parts-Remote-Starter-Kit-100-/181297905588?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AEscape&hash=item2a36327fb4, how hard would that particular kit be to install? To me, it looks like most of the wires have plugs for them and only that 1 harness is straight wire that would need to be hardwired to something. Im pretty capable of doing this as long as i dont have to tear apart the interior for it. Anyone know how hard it would be to install this without having the dealer do it?

Just looking at it without being able to read the manual I would say the one that has the loose ends is a relay. Usually that will get a ground, constant power, switched power and output. All the others look to be plug in harnesses. So the hard part is guessing where they go until you get the book. I would venture to say a couple hours and all the plugs should be something you can get to without removing the dash. But this is just a guess.

I am considering this same kit for my wife's '13 escape.
Did you go for it and if so, how did it work out?

I bought the plug and play kit from that same dealer for my '14 F150
and it went in super easy.

No, i found out that there is no plug and play kit for hte newer escapes. You have to cut and splice. Not doing that and not paying ford the price they would want to do it.
