63 All Wheel Drive F-Big Hundred Fire Truck

Found this GEM on eBay. A large all wheel drive all decked out with a generator and other cool stuff.
I bet you could use some rubbing compound on that paint and it would shine right up.

DON'T KNOW IF THE DOG IS INCLUDED?

It's on eBay right now, "buy It Now" $5,000.00. Colorado Springs, CO.
What I find fascinating is the lack of rust on the frame or anywhere else. If I had the five grand I think I would buy it now!
this could be a really cool truck.

Another question should be, what is it? The lack of "Super Duty" emblems on hood suggests it is a F 800, which means it has older 332. A photo of the warranty plate or engine would have helped answer this question.

He claims it has a 505 V8. did Ford even make a 505? I guess with something like that was a custom build by a fire truck company. It's odd that there are no fire dept numbers or anything like that still visable. It could have been repainted after it was sold.
It looks like it spent some of it's life under cover for lack of rust as seen in the front wheel well.
What ever it is it's a cool truck.
Perfect bug out truck for a prepper!
Beers to ya

I've always wanted a big f series truck. Especially a 4 wheel drive one. Would make a great haul or work truck. Anyone take notice to the sellers other items? Some good stuff. Also saw this semi while I was on there.

Nice looking Marmon-Herrington. I can't read the data plate, but agree it's F-800 or larger based on 10 lug x 11.25" pattern wheels. Stu

No.
No such thing as a 505, it's probably a 534. Also available for F850/1100's were the 401 & 477, same engine family as the 534.

Wow--almost worth the price just to get hold of that awesome instrument cluster. Is that a tach on the right? Not even sure what the gauge on the left is for.

Both cool trucks. I do like big trucks for sure. Anyone know if the hubs
can be locked out so the front axle free wheels? Or is it all wheel drive
all the time?

I assume full time hubs, but not full time 4wd. It's a column shift automatic tranny, with two shift levers for the transfer case. Badge shows to engage only at dead stop. Has two speed case. Stu

I like the milk crate seat and the cardboard box console. Looks like the horse trailer was converted to a shop.

We need Number Dummy to decode this one!
Here is the warranty plate code on the fire truck, It is a F-800. My book doesn't list anything bigger than a F-350.
here it is:
1963
*F80W0391849*

MODEL BODY TRANS
L-58 F804 818 or maybe 81B 88

RPM DSO CERT
4000 3600 61 173

The guy is going to send me more photos so I will post them here later.
Have a good day.
