1950 f1 numbers

I need some help with my 1950 f1.Iam trying to find out what does the numders stamp on my fire wall mean?I search the threads but cant find anything maybe iam putting the wroung word in the search.

It looks like this

Welcome to the forum. There's a very lengthy thread on the subject. In that string of numbers is your color code, assembly plant, date code and other information. The SP would indicate St. Paul assembly plant. You appear to have way more numbers than is the norm. Post the info and other requested details in the thread here..

15 could be light gray. Knowing the color of your truck and serial number would help as SP used numbers for awhile before going to letters for the color.

Most have a stamping something like 15 SP 12L 2345

Sometimes lightly sanding the stamping will bring out details. Shining a light on a shallow angle can also help. Post a clear - if you can.
