I was having some issues getting my tach sensor to work, replaced it with another working sensor, but even it has some wear right where the wires go into the sensor, looks like it just happened recently and hasnt't been that way for long.

I am going to give resealing a it a go(to protect it from future moisture), and I want to use the best crap I can find that will hold up permanently, ive used permatex for lots of stuff and found that they have a product that might work, what do you guys think? has anyone used anything else that has held up good?

 

It's what I use for that kind of exposure. Not necessarily the brand, but liquid electrical tape. Permatex does make a good product though, just don't recall offhand what brand I have.

Used the stuff on a couple of glow plug connectors in '07-08ish, still holding up fine.

 

i use 4-5 cans per year. it gets used for everything regular tape don't fit well. only difference is i use NAPA brand.
but i am pretty sure permatex makes it for NAPA

 

I used liquid tape on mine. Gets used quite often with me.
