quite often it's the sensor on top of the IP gear cover. Check it for cracked wires/missing insulation right at the sensor - common failure. If it's oily and the wires are cracked/missing insulation the inside of the sensor is likely damaged.

I called the local dealer yesterday and they said it would be $69. Seems a bit ridiculous. I may call International today just for grins. Sometimes they are quite a bit cheaper than Ford,
