Anyone use aFe Atlas exhaust?

Looking to go with an aftermarket exhaust - anyone running an aFe ATLAS exhaust?? I like the looks of the joints and clamps.
Anyone have experience mounting both aFe and say MBRP that can provide pros/cons of both systems?
I'm not concerned with each companies muffler sound as I'm straight piping.

I went with Diamond Eye, I got a killer deal off the net. I just had to get the tips seperate as it didn't come with the kit. I was still ahead of the other brands. It pays to shop around and wait for that good deal

I can get the MBRP for $240ish and the aFe will be $300ish...trying to figure out if the extra $60 is worth it for the aFe.

I know MBRP is a popular option.

In salt ridden Ohio I stay with stainless, as for the muffler it is your choice but straight piped I find it annoying and real attention getter for the Police.

Out here in MA we support the salt industry as well...but I undercarriage wash it once a week in the winters so I'm just going to go Al.

I don't really hot-dog it all too much, but as far as the 5-0 is concerned...I've got an in

If the noise gets to be too much a friend of mine has an MBRP muffler that he never mounted that I can use. I'm thinking I may end up going that option seeing how the enclosed rear cab of the Excursion will probably trap some of the resonating from the tail pipe...and ultimately **** off my wife and kids. Gotta try it straight'd first though!

there are some metals that don't mix well... not sure if aluminum and stainless are one of those combinations... I'd check first.

I just bought the aFe 4 in. Mandrel Bent 409 Stainless Steel Tubing cat-back system from Amazon for $348. My son and I installed it in about 2 hours which included removing the original. I did go from a muffler deleted system to using their muffler. Sounds OK as it is a straight flow through muffler. Just not as loud as when deleted.

Thanks BP.

Watson - didn't think about that. I know with welding it's an obvious no-no. But If you're just clamping to together it shouldn't make a big deal. I'll look into it though.

Edit: Ok - just checked and found a page that detailed faster/base metal comparisons which works just as good in this case. Mating stainless with aluminum increases corrosion rates for both metals when in contact. So I will have to find alternate muffler options as I don't see the value in spending the cha-ching for a T304 system right now and the T409 will get just as crappy as the Al in my climate, as I will not be scouring my exhaust every winter.

metal to metal contact is all that's needed to promote electrolysis.
