Periodic "No throttle response"

Hey all, I have an 08 F-550 with the 6.4L and periodically the throttle seems to crap out and have no response at all. The truck still idles, but there is nothing when depressing the pedal. Turning it off seems to reset it, but it has started doing this in the last couple days only. I realize the throttle is probably a drive by wire system, so is there a module or something that commonly acts up to cause this? Thanks for any help or recommendations in advance.

I know the 6.0's had issues with the pedal going dead but I havent seen this to often with the 6.4, I believe the pedal is actually electronicly controlling the throttle..? You may need a new assembly.

Do you have any stored codes? I would think a fault in that system would set some sort of code (like a P1586) but if it's intermittent it might not set the MIL

I had a similar problem where my truck would only get a quarter throttle on the pedal. Would be enough throttle to get up to speed on highway but that was it. I have a Mini Maxx tuner so I could check my throttle percentage and it said the pedal was working. Plus my cruise wouldn't work and no codes. I checked my LPFP at home with the key on engine off and it was very noisy. Replaced pump and truck like new again. Just something to check.

Apparently, according to the stealership, the EGT sensor is bad, and putting my truck into limp mode. $480 cures the problem I hope.

Wow, you can buy that sensor pretty cheap and change it your self!
