An irrigation or greenhouse supply outfit would have them. It's called a coupling insert x insert. Here's a link to southern drip irritations catalogue http://issuu.com/southerndrip/docs/s...964174/7069463
It's on page 40.

I just got some aluminized pipe.
Since its on the low end, its not pressurized like the top end.
Doesn't really need to be that fancy.

Anyways.
Anyone know the steering linkage travel for the TTB?

I clear it turning, but i'm not sure how much travel it will make. I'm close to the steering, but ... not that close. 3 or 4 inches away. I just worry making a right hand turn and the susspension pushing the right tire up enough to hit the radiator hose.

I ended up not needing all the hoses i bought. just the IDI hose and the stock one with a coupler.
looks friggen fantastic.

The D50 TTB doesn't have much UP travel at all. You only have maybe an inch or two at most until it hits the bump stops unless you have lifted leaf springs.

with as far off as it is, it would have to be a LOT of travel for it to hit.
I'm just worried that it might hit and cause some damage while driving, which ... isn't good.

Good to see you back on the site William, even if it is because you're beating your head against a wall. It sounds like you have it all sorted out now.

For the travel issue, couldn't you just jack up that corner of the truck until it gets to the bump stop (or close to it)?

Yeah I was just thinking that. Though the springs are pretty good up front, so jacking it up is hard with the little portable jack I have.

I'm going to try something here then head to the parts store to hopefully return these things.

I'll upload some pictures and **** later when I take more.

It just takes waaaay more work than I want to casually do at the moment with theo ther **** i have going on.

Yeah, I could see that too. Just pull it up on a curb, auto ramp, rock or hill on that corner and see how it looks, lol. Your truck is gettin' flexed out!!

i jacked it up high enough untill the rear end started to pop and move, coudlnt' ge tit to hit the bump stop.
It still has about an inch it looks like.

hard to tell>
When i set the front end back down, the tire was 6 inches behind where i picked it up. haha

everything was popping when i did it.
The frame is too stout on these trucks.

Take a tape measure from the bump stop down to the top spring plate that would hit the bump stop if it was ever to hit. That's all that you need to do, not pick the truck up. Every D50 TTB I've ever seen only had a couple inches of up travel before hitting the bump stops with stock springs.. Even after installing brand new stock springs, maybe 2 1/2" or so of actual up travel of that beam. Definitely not very much travel with negative arching leaf springs.

Well, the other thing, is it's near the pivot point of where its going to bump the tube.
So it would take massive amounts of travel to make it move that few extra inches.

So, should be good.

I'll maka new therad with soem pictures.

I think we got enough info to make a huge mainline post.

Should put it on my website, but i'm lazy.
