91 5.8 Best Headers For Low End Torque

Brand? Shorties? Longtube?

This engine will be lucky if it goes over 4500 RPM, so I want a set that is good from idle to around that. I thought I knew what I was gonna do but those headers are no longer avaiable so looking for new info.

Thanks in advance for any info

Don't know much on brands but if you want torque go for long tubes. They make a noticeable difference on torque.

I have hedman mid tubes and they're adequate. Great fit, but definitely tight by the frame rail on a big block. On a 5.8 you'll probably be fine, but on my 460 I had to unbolt the engine and jack it up a couple inches

Headers are way overrated, over-hyped............nonetheless, you can plug in your numbers and get some decent recommendations using PipeMax software....

F350 headers are discussed a lot here. But over rated hardly. I've never seen a hi-po motor go into a car with manifolds. The flow rate is far better than regular manifolds, and the try-y headers help with the scavenge affect.
