easy question - what bolt/screw for front lince plate?

Around here, we aren't required to run a front license plate, and they aren't issued by the gubberment, so our trucks don't come with the bolts/screws for them. I'd like to add a decorative front plate, and I was wondering what bolts to use.

Anything that's self-tapping (though not necessary since the bracket is plastic) and fits.

*Would recommend something that's zinc plated, anodized, or painted.

OR ... Just stop-off at the dealership, I'm sure they'd be happy to give you a couple of genuine FoMoCo license plate bolts.

They are usually a #14 screw. You could also get the 5.0L bumper pad to replace it with so it's the same as the other side.

always change mine to a stainless, self-tapping or in a year or two, the FORD ones after getting road salted in winter drip rust stains on our white plates!

Go with stainless #14 as I mentioned before and you won't destroy the original threads.

Did you use the #14 screws?
