Tail Light Wires

Do F series trucks use the same basic 3 wire harness all the way up to 96?

Instead of buying wire and making my own, I could just go to the Pull-A-Part and buy a 25-30 year newer harness for $5.

Newer trucks will have additional wiring, 1- backup lights, 2- side markers, but just because is has it you don't have to use it.
