Well guys, decided 3 trucks was too many, so i sold off my silver 95 f150 (the one next to my user name) and now ive got lots o cash to put into my 89! First step.... PAINT JOB!!!!!

got new tires and rims on the way, they should be here this week sometime!!

And just finished ordering a whole new sound system for it, bought a Clarion deck and Orion sub/amp/speakers. gonna sound sick when its done!!!

 

Even in flat black, it looks a lot better than it did with the miscellaneous colors on it.

What tires are you planning on putting on it?

Got my rims and some of the new sound system today! Clarion deck and Orion speakers!!! Going with a Memphis amp, gonna be picking that up local this weekend! Also got stainless steel center caps and new lugnuts, figured you dont need a pic of those lol

I really liked my silver truck too, but it was never ment to be a project, and thats what it turned into. Plus im more of an 8 lug kinda guy myself lol. I want to get my 89 reliable and comfortable again, I miss being able to just hop in it and drive anywhere i wanna go.

What made you choose flat black? I'm not a big fan of flat black but that looks a whole lot better than the other mixed colors. Make sure you get pics of it with the new shoes

 

honestly it was this truck right here. I wasnt fond of flat black either back in the day, but every paint job i had seen had been done poorly. This was a guy i knew off another site, and actually got to see the truck in person once. changed my mind in an instant

 

Cool. That looks better than most I've seen, but I still prefer gloss. If I'm gonna put that much time and money into a paint job, it better shine. Still looks better than before though. Keep it up!

Got the wheels from national tire and wheel. No idea on what back spacing gave them truck model they hooked me up. Very happy with this company,

 

I don't get it.

Why even bother painting it?!?

You left the moulding, mirrors and all the trim on (and painted most of it!!)

Then you go and spend money on nice aluminum wheels

Talk about putting the cart before the horse
