Chrome Header's

Well it is about time to order my Bassani headers to fix my exhaust leak hopefully for good. What I need to know is weather or not chrome headers are as bad as the internet seems to make them. They are over $100 less than the ceramic coated ones which really help's my budget here. I don't want reply's telling me the advantages of the ceramic version as I am well aware of them. However, my truck is not a race car and I don't need headers that look pretty, just ones that don't leak. I will also add that we do not salt our roads here at all. The only element's they would be exposed to is water, air and heat obviously. If you have any first hand experience with chrome header's, please share. Good or bad, does not matter, I want to hear it.

For reference, my exhaust currently consists of Summit Racing headers, Bassani catted y-pipe and a Magnaflow muffler and tailpipe. The Summit header's have too small of a collector ball for the Bassani y-pipe.

How do your Summit headers look now?

Without salt to mess things up, chrome should work just fine. I'd base the decision on the condition of the Summit headers.

They look exactly like they did when I put them on. No rust or corrosion anywhere at all...
