Wondering if there is a way to program the headlights and running lights so they DO NOT come on when I open the doors?? And to turn OFF when the switch is off??

Read your owners manual front to back. If it's not in there, then probably not unless you go in and ask the dealer.

There probably is a way to cut a wire somewhere to make them not cut on, but that may void the warranty and I do not have diagrams for that new model to tell you which wire to cut.

 

I won't cut any wires. There has to be a way to just program it out. I can shut off the headlights -only. All of the Ridiculous running lights still come on when I open the door, regardless of headlight switch position.

 

Someone else asked this same question several weeks ago, but he had a truck a couple of years older than yours. The diagrams I was able to get did show one wire that supplies this feature, and I believe he was going to search it out and install a switch in the wire.

I believe the dealer is going to be your only option. They can program some stuff out, I believe I read somewhere that they program out features like this on police vehicles. But they may not do it for a regular person, but you can try and see what they say.
