Vintage Air Mark IV compared to Gen II in 1952
#16
I have the Gen II Compact in my truck, complete with heat and defrost ducting hooked up. Pics in my gallery.
Yes I did lose some of my glove box space, about 1/2, but I just modified the back half of the cardboard and it looks perfect/stock, has room for my 2 garage and 1 hidden audio remote and 2 phone chargesrs along with regstration and insurance papers.
I am very happy with it.

AC in 52 Pick-up
Have the Vintage Mark IV hung in my 52 PU, can work the vent lever, clears the radio and glove box is intact.
I just like the metal chrome AC over the plastic looking items.
Note dual cone speaker, hope it works OK.

Looks great... One thing you may need to do is space the speaker back so the 6x9 part of the speaker has full motion and doesn't come in contact with the dash. It's hard to see how much space between speaker and dash.

Thanks Moe,
I will recheck but I think I have 1/2" or more as the frame of the speaker lays on top of the radio when it is installed.
I installed it on a homemade bracket that bolts to the original wiper holes in the dash since I went with an electric which does not use the holes. It took a few tries to come up with the right angle and distance. I have corrected the crappy looking bolts which look and work better than in this picture
