1996 F-250 7.3 Diesel crank but no start

Have replaced valve cover gaskets, glow plugs, ICP, High pressure control pump, IPR valve, ECM,ICM, Fuel bowl heater and switch and IDM. Still having problems getting to start and then stalls when apply gas. Any suggestions? I also do not have access to any testing equipment.

Welcome to FTE! Have you checked your fuel pressure? There is a valve on the side of the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) that you can use a stick style tire gauge to check the fuel pressure.

^^ what he said^^ Ford or IH only.

How many miles on the truck? How old is the oil and is it full? Have you checked/changed the fuel filter? Is/was it black? Notice anything in the fuel bowl? Any injector work ever done?

As I'm sure you know, that's a lot of parts to be throwing at it to try to fix it. This situation shows that testing equipment will pay for itself. Not trying to bash on you, just saying.

The IHC/Blue CPS

The part oldbird is referring to is: IHC#1876736C91
In case you were wondering, or didn't know.

It's "the blue CPS" everyone talks about.

This CPS offers an advanced timing, and is reputed to make your truck run quieter, smoother, and increase fuel economy with more accurate injection of fuel.

Price is slightly more than your average parts store. Runs 40$ shipped from Improved Blue CPS for 7.3L Ford Powerstroke Diesel
