The alternator went on my E99 and when they tested it at Advance, there were three wires on the pigtail. I checked the old alternator and there were indeed three poles in the connector. The new one has three poles as well, but the pigtail on my truck only has two wires. It does not look like it ever had three.

The truck will not hold a charge and I am chasing down every lead. Could this be part of the problem?
