'65/'66 F250 Rangers

Thought I'd located another F250 Ranger in Minnesota, but it turns out it is the same red and white truck that I looked at in Auburn, WA late last year pictured above. Same rips in the drivers seat, no console and same dent in the passengers cowl and the cowl trim is missing. Funny to stumble across the same truck again so far away.

The center console was an option even on a Ranger. You had to order it separate as it was not a given just because you got bucket seats. There are no brackets and no slits in the carpet so this truck likely never was ordered with a console. There is a slightly better picture of the trim tag in that post #2.

Since the fender badges say "Twin I-Beam" I know what my own hunch is....

Ranger Update:
A month or so back I ended up buying the Ranger back from my daughter.
She was itching to get her bronco on the road so we are in the middle of a fresh paint job on it now.
Ranger now has around 107k miles on it. Her only mode of transportation for probably 3yrs.
The Ranger is now my DAILY DRIVER!
Sold my diesel truck. I switch between the light blue F100 & the Ranger as my only daily drivers. So yeah, its gets driven! I really want to restore it but have a feeling with cash flow it may get sold instead . .
One of the most reliable vehicles our family has ever had. After 3 years of daily usage its cost next to nothing to keep it going.
Go figure my daughter drove it daily for 3 years and never let her down.
I went thru it on maintenance items where I thought it was better yet.
The very first time I drove it and was telling the person with me how perfect it was running and how nice it drove. A few seconds later it sputtered and blew black smoke. QUIT
I thought it was a needle and seat sticking. Turns out it was the ign coil gone bad. First time ever a coil has gone bad while driving.

Here's one I came across today sitting in an alley. Had seen it sitting there for years but never realized until today that it is a Ranger. Not sure if it's ever been restored but judging by the interior I'm guessing maybe not. Pretty cool, eh? How unusual are Rangers and, specifically, F250 Rangers? This one has a bed-side tool box, a v8 and automatic.

Talked with the owner for a bit. He had owned the truck several years and used it as his daily drive to work rig. He knew what he had and wasn't interested in selling.
I don't know the production numbers of Rangers, or even if the information is available. I do know that, at least in the Portland, Oregon area, they aren't too common. I would say that of the Rangers I have come across they are evenly split between F-100's and F-250's.
