Converting from vent and window to ONE PIECE window on 56
I have seen one piece window conversion kits and was wondering just how much of a job it is to convert the door over.
Is there any one kit better or worse than otherts..anybody who has done this mod please sound off.
As always thanks for your time to reply.

They are all pretty much the same, I bought my kit from Midfifty. I went with power controls that I purchased from EZwire. All you get in a kit is the glass and felts, couple pieces of channel and brackets. The best deal is finding the best price and service.
The felts you need are 8 feet long if you care to make your own brackets the dimensions are in the pic. A glass shop could cut the class for you but I'm not sure if this route will save you much, you'll have to check into it to see and compare,Here is the link to Midfiftys instructions http://www.midfifty.com/instructions.php?ID=713

56 is MUCH easier than the slant cab windows. One place to be careful is the corners of the felts...bend them slowly and get them anchored securely, I have seen many pull out of the channel. I cut a window template out of 1/4 inch hardboard to use as a buck to fit the felt onto prior to installing it in the door channel.

I love the vent wings. Ash tray and air conditioning all in one.
Although I learned real quick to not leave your hand open and fingers
spread out when turning around a B Model Mack with the wing open.
It will get drove between the fingers of your left hand and can break
them if ya like run over a baseball size rock.
