The original color should be chrome yellow. There is a picture of Willard in my gallery taken in 1977 in original chrome yellow paint

No, it's not a stock color. Stock in '52 would have been Vermilion Red, Glen Mist (light) Green, Sheridan (dark) Blue, Meadow (medium) Green, Woodsmoke Gray, Sandpiper Tan, or Raven Black. But there was also the option for Primer which allowed a truck to be painted by the buyer or dealer for a fleet purchase or other reason. So the yellow might be original to the truck, likely for a fleet reason. Stu

Edit - here's the pic I took of it in Rod's museum. Stu

So it's sold then? I guess there goes my dream of winning the lottery and buying all of Rod's fleet. Did the Ranger sell?

Don't know on either question. The yellow is very bright, to me more so than would have been a shade found during that era. But could have been used by a utility, municipal fleet, or similar I guess. Don't know if any have been sold yet. Stu

My truck is Chrome Yellow. Paint is original, the interior view probably less faded. Your truck looks fantastic!

Perhaps it's the late model color, screaming yellow. Ford uses it on late model mustangs and F150's.

Yes, sadly the helicopters are gone, due to lack of funds!
Still, I am enjoying the truck almost as much!
