I used the 3M Black Super Weatherstrip Adhesive on the front fender rubber seal (and most other seals and welting). I have only driven it down my road, but it seems to work well.

Don't use their yellow snot glue. It will work it's way out and look terrible.

Was that heavy rubber stuff used on the back fenders as well as the front? Or did the back fenders get more of a traditional welt material? Not a scrap of anything left on my truck to tell!

The heavy rubber front fender-to-cowl seal is only used in that location. The anti-squeak is only used on the front end AFAIK. The rear fenders don't move relative to the box, so it wouldn't seem to be necessary there.

Makes sense, I may put some welting on the rear fenders anyway just for the look. Thanks!

It makes a perfect place to capture dirt, crud and rust. Here are the results.

No kidding, most cars I have bought from the 1930s-40s have rot around the fender mounts because of that. I dont plan any snow driving so I should be ok.
