bad issue of brakes sticking when cold

well guys, at first i didnt think i had a problem, but after it keeps doing it i have decided i need some help from you guys, what happened was it snowed a good amount a week or so ago, and i slipped around without weight in the back of my 2wd f150 for a day or two, then it snowed more and blew creating drifts, well by this time i had weight in the back and being i inherited this truck from my realative this summer last winter later in the winter i hadnt driven it through snow yet, so seeing the 4 ft drifts i decided there is no better place to see how much snow i can go through than at my house by the grain bins cuase i can just get the 4 wheeler or another truck to pull me out. well i made it through the 4ft banks just fine and made a few more laps through em just for fun. i then parked the truck outside and ever since the brakes get stuck when the truck sits for a while, i have to rev it hard and then the brakes break loose and i am fine. i have tried riding around for a few blocks with the brakes partially on to heat them up and melt the snow, and i knocked the snow out as best i could without taking off the wheel, what should i do and what is the problem, i have never had this happen to me or anyone i know. also it seems like the front brakes and not the back ones as they will spin freely while i am trying to break free, any info help or suggestions GREATLY appreciated cause this sucks, thanks guys

Well, it seems like you have a freezing caliper problem. Can you find a heated space to park it in for one night? Probably would work better if you pulled the front wheels and left it on stands for the night.

Of course, since the truck is new to you, the cold/ice problem could be compounding an old/nasty/rusty caliper issue. If you pull the wheels for the dry-over-nite deal, you can check for that.

Make sure the front calipers and pads move freely, and replace the brake fluid if it's more than a few years old. Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air.

i checked caliper movement and for rust when i put 4 tires on it, the brake fluid has been changed in the past few years, i have only had this truck for 1.5 years but it has been in the close family since new, so i know all the maintence records and stuff, its been well maintained
