Competant 6.0 tech in Snohomish county area? EGR/dealer issues
Heh, been on this forum a couple months & never found this sub folder.
Anyways, my Excursion is currently at Brien Ford in Everett for the usual oil/EGR cooler problems. They agreed to install an EGR delete kit from IPR along with everything else, now that the work is done they're telling me that the IPR up pipe is leaking under boost, that aftermarket up pipes ALWAYS leak, and they want to do it over again with a simple block off on the factory pipe. I talked to IGR and the fellow said he's never gotten a phone call about a leaking up pipe. I'm thinking the install was "less than enthusiastic" and something got missed somewhere, Brien won't even call IGR directly so I'm stuck here playing messenger boy for he said/she said, paying for a rental car every day, and starting to loose my patience.
I'm thinking its time for a second opinion.
Could anyone recommend a GOOD 6.0 tech in the Everett/Snohomish county area that's familiar with this setup and won't automatically balk at an aftermarket up pipe?

There is a shop in Monroe, called Dynamite Diesel. I have never spoke to them, but all the mail I get from them would indicate that they know their way around a 6l. There is also Dynamic Diesel in Snohomish. Just throwing that out there to get the ball rolling on this thread. Have you actually put your eyes on your Ex since they decided the delete won't work?

LOL. <facepalm>
I finally got it back yesterday. They'd had it since the 2nd. Didn't do a whole bunch of stuff too. But at least it's running and not making any funny noises (so far).
The thing about that Dynomite diesel place is that everyone seems to have heard good things about them, but no ones actually *been* there themselves.
