06 F150 STX 4WD actuation issues
I am having trouble with the actuation of my 4WD system on my 2006 F150. The wheel actuators are new. The vacuum solenoid is new. I have determined that when I shift into 4WD that the transfer case has successfully shifted as the front drive shaft engages when in 4WD and is free when in 2WD. The correct dash light are present for the shifter position. The actuators seem to be working correctly as the front drive shafts engage and disengage correctly for the sifter position. Is there anything in the installation of the actuators that could have been done wrong?
I have yet to test the vacuum at the lines where they connect to the wheel actuators. I have been operating on the assumption that they seem to be engaging the drive axles correctly. What I do not have is any mechanical noises. No squeals, clunking, or grinding. Is it possible for the front axles to not be installed correctly? It seems that the disconnect is at the from differential...as if the drive axles are not engaging the differential.
Please advise...
Thanks,
Mike

definitely check out the vacuum lines to see if you have any leaks

Not dis-engaging is either a vacuum problem (most common), or an internal mechanical failure of the IWE.
What you are describing has me a bit curious...
