That's because they don't make anything. You need a diesel transmission case.

 

I doubt you'll find it.

 

Do not even Dream about putting a Gas E4OD behind a Diesel....ASk the IDI guys about that one....Totally different Transmissions....Even the IDI ( 4 Bolts ) and the PSD ( 6 bolts ) are different....It would be way way way smarter to get the engine /trans as a Unit WITH computers....

What exactly are you trying to do and why ?

 

I want to convert my 460 to a 7.3 without having to buy a truck with a working transmission, or just a transmission in general. Because they're cheaper when their tranny is broke.

So I have a have a PSD that's breaking flexplates, how hard is it to switch out the tailhousings if I can only find a 2wd?
