centrifugal supercharged 5.8

Ok so I know here are people out there that have that Fancy discontinued vortech supercharger kits(which I'm not lucky enough to own)as well as I'm not going to find one around here. But I want a supercharger and I found one! Haven't bought it yet but I'm curious to know what people think of the "twEECer" programmer for the non maf trucks and what that 351 would reliably hold for boost out of that vortech. The motor I rebuilt (stock ofcourse) about 3 years ago, bored 30, new slugs undersized bearings, new cam lifter dbl roller timing chain etc. Any information would be appriciated

The block will take as much boost as you can generate, but standard cast pistons won't tolerate much detonation and that's the real problem with boosting a heavy vehicle like a truck so realistically about 5-6psi is gonna be about the limit.
I have a Tweecer and I like it just fine but there is limited support for the SD EECs, so you may need to swap in a Lightning EEC to be able to take advantage. What vintage is your motor?

There is a bit of a learning curve when using the Tweecer software, so you if have the time and patience, then go for it. Otherwise a simple boost timing retard and FMU will suite your tuning needs. Also, if you don't plan on using some sort of charge cooling then look to keep the boost levels under 8psi if you're running cast pistons.
I always recommend those DIY tuners to invest in a wideband to monitor air/fuel ratios. You can get a good one for less the 300 bucks, which is cheaper than a rebuild.
