That's how I would say the Ford feels like. Beefy, tank like, just plain rugged. But I'm bias.

 

You can state any numbers you want but the power at the pavement that counts not the rating at the crank shaft. If that truck had 4.30 gears it would have been slower because it would have smoked the back tires big time.

I wonder with 4.30 and a reved 4x4 launch how it would have done.

 

It's nice to see a apples to apples test gear ratio wise. Usually the ford has 4:30 gears to other testers 3:73. I was wondering how the 3:73 would stack up and even though there's no towing in this test I think the 6.2 will hold its own. Interesting how slow the 6.0 with 4:10 was though because I drove one of those once and it felt pretty good. I expected way more from that big displacement hemi in 0-60 compared to the ford just because of fords horrid torque management.

 

I don't know what you guys are talking about. The only thing I remember about the video is the blonde getting in and out of the ford. Besides I already know that Ford builds the best all around truck. GM just falls way to short. And Ram well is Ram. The day they can build one to take the day in and day out punishment the Ford can and all the while lasting as long is the day I might consider a Ram.
