Mod to keep headlights on all the time?

My car is set up so that I can leave the headlights (and the tail lights) on all the time - the switch never moves, the car turns the lights on and off automatically with the ignition switch, and turns them off when the engine is cranking. I like this a lot. Is there a way to get the truck to do this?

2005 F250 6.0 PSD Automatic, if that makes a difference.

Maybe, but not without wiring modifications. The dealer can program newer SD's to have day-running lights (the headlights on with lower output) which operate any time the truck is not in Park, but this is only the headlights...no parking or tail lights.

troverman I don't know if somebody changed it on our 02 F250 but our running lights (when on daytime) has the tails and parking on. Now I don't use the daytime lights as they drive me nuts I always end up going back to the truck to make sure they are off.
But yes I believe that you can set it up with daytimes with some wirring mods and a daytime running light switch.

Hmm...entirely possible on that slightly earlier gen of super duty. On mine, definitely only the front headlights and on reduced output. It also goes out with the engine running as soon as the vehicle is put in Park.

Hmm sounds like they changed a lot over the years. I just really don't use them as our older vehicles don't have them so I am so use to just turning them on at the right or needed time.
