what transmission in e-series van 4.9 I6

Hi there, I posted this in the inline 300 forum as well. I know this isn't probably the best place for it but there doesn't seem to be an e-series van specific area. I looked around to see if this had been asked somewhere already but couldn't find the answer, so if it has been discussed before, just point me in that direction. thanks

I figured some people here would probably be the most knowledgeable about this anyway.

-What auto tranny's would be on a 93 e-series van that has an inline 300 in it?

-and, how can I identify which of those it would be?

-and, which of those would be the best in your opinions? (for me, reliability, durability, and fuel efficiency are the key).

thanks for any and all opinions.

It's most likely a C6 or an E4OD...

Most likely a E4OD, check to see if you have the OD button on the shifter. If so, its a E4OD.

Here's the van forum here on FTE 1968-2013 Full Size Vans - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

I think the vans only came through with C6s behind the 300 up to 1996. E4OD would be somewhat rare.

I see many vans in the junkyards and driving around with the 300 I6 and E4OD. Only seen one mid 90's van with a 300 and C6 combo.

X2, 92+ vans mostly had E4OD's, while some C6's were behind some 300's and 351's till 1996 but rare.
